Knauf Insulation launches new Combi-Cut Glass Mineral Wool Ceiling Roll in South Africa
Following feedback received from a number of customers and installers in the region, and in order to bring added convenience, Knauf Insulation has reviewed its range of products to address the most common ceiling joist centres used in South Africa.
The new Combi-Cut Ceiling Rolls will now incorporate an additional perforation cut at 800mm/400mm, whilst also retaining the existing combi-cut perforation along the centre, enabling the installer to separate the product conveniently into pre-measured 800mm and 400mm width rolls without the need for tools.
The added flexibility means that the product is ideal for installation between typical 750mm standard joist centres used in South African or alternatively for 600mm joist centres under slate roofs and often used as standard centres in other African Countries
Other benefits of the new Combi-Cut Ceiling Roll include:
- Can be separated into 800mm & 400mm, two 600mm or 1200mm width combinations
- Unbeatable Non-Combustible A1 Euroclass Reaction to Fire Classification rating and SANS 10177 Pt5 & 10 for fire
- Manufactured using the revolutionary Ecose® Technology (no smell, no artificial colours or bleaching, pleasant to handle, less energy intensive)
- Available as 50, 100 and 135mm*
- More m2 per roll for easier storage and handling
- Palletisation with weatherproof outer film permits external storage
* 75mm will be available as a solid 1200mm width.
Speaking after the launch, Mark Gillott, Business Development Director for Knauf Insulation Africa, said:
"Our Combi-Cut Ceiling Rolls are another example of Knauf Insulation delivering innovation to markets in Africa. The purpose of combi-cut rolls is to allow the installer to carry out a fast and more precise installation without the need to measure or use any tool.
"This innovation offers great convenience and avoids the effects of ‘telescoping’ which can often be experienced with on-site cutting. We have a similar offering on our partition rolls which are fully cut through. Once the roll’s packaging is removed, there are two pre-cut 600mm widths of insulation ready to fit straight into the partition studs".
The product is available through Knauf Insulation’s distribution partners in South Africa or if you require more immediate information contact us today.
